Terredelta is a clear homage to an interesting artistic movement of the early 20th century, Orphism. The term was coined in 1912 by the poet and art critic Guillaume Apollinaire to define the style of a new generation, including prominent names such as Delaunay, Picabia, Léger, and Kupka.
These artists distanced themselves from the rigid and monochromatic cubism of Picasso and Braque's early style, focusing instead on the harmonious sinuosity of the concentric circle and the luminosity of chromatic contrasts.
The result was the creation of an abstract painting no longer inspired by objects but by light as the primordial force of movement and forms.
