Wisteria festival
Wisteria festival
For this delicate design, we drew inspiration from the wisteria flower and the 'Great Wisteria Festival,' which celebrates its spectacular blooming each year at the Ashikaga Flower Park on the island of Honshū.
The 'Great Wisteria Festival' is one of Japan's most enchanting events, taking place from mid-April to the end of May. In addition to the wide variety of floral species arranged in scenic displays, the park is famous for a wisteria tree that is over 150 years old, with a canopy spanning more than 1,000 square meters, making it one of the country's national monuments.
It is worth noting that the largest wisteria plant in the world is located in Sierra Madre, California, and spans just over 4,000 square meters. Planted in 1894, it is now on private land but is open to the public once a year in March during the eponymous festival.
