The sinuous and elegant motion of this abstract composition evokes the underwater dance of fascinating and mysterious creatures like the giant mantas of Socorro Island off the western coast of Mexico.
These wonderful queens of our oceans are curious and sociable, highly intelligent, and always eager to meet divers and snorkelers to play and interact.
To prevent their risk of extinction, several conservation organizations have emerged in recent decades, one of the main ones being the Manta Trust, founded in 2011 as a reference point for the research and conservation of mantas and their related species.
