The pattern of this delightful cushion is inspired by the work of one of the most renowned figures of American Pop Art, Roy Fox Lichtenstein (1923-1997).
Indeed, we find here the characteristic palette based on saturated primary colors and the Ben Day dot pattern, a typographic coloring system developed in 1879 by Benjamin Henry Day Jr., used mainly in comics.
And it is precisely the small Ben Day dots that will constitute the distinctive mark of Lichtenstein's "popness," a universally recognizable hallmark with a unique and powerful language, capable of transforming the ordinary into an icon in the blink of an eye.
