This expressive representation of an elderly Capuchin friar is the work of the Brazilian painter José Ferraz de Almeida Júnior, a former student of the academic Alexandre Cabanel in Paris.

The painting, dated 1874, is currently housed in the São Paulo Museum of Art in Brazil.
We have chosen it as a personal tribute to the beneficial mission of all men of God.
